Soundbooked

For studios

Open your room to the people looking for it.

Soundbooked is a marketplace for studio time in the US: recording, rehearsal and podcast rooms, with real prices and real availability on the page. This is what listing on it actually involves.

List the room you already have

Put the rate, the gear and the room's real availability on one page. Guests see what it costs and when it is free before they contact you, so the first message you get is a booking rather than a question you have answered a hundred times.

A studio can hold more than one room, each with its own rate and its own calendar.

Keep the calendar you already keep

Most studios already track their week somewhere. Soundbooked connects to Google Calendar so you do not have to run a second one and reconcile them by hand.

The sync runs both ways on the room you choose. Soundbooked reads the times you are already busy and marks them unavailable, so nobody can book the hours you have committed elsewhere. When a booking is confirmed, Soundbooked adds it to that same calendar, so your own week stays complete.

You connect your own Google account, you pick which calendar to use, and you can disconnect it at any time from your host settings. Nothing about the integration is required in order to list a room or take bookings. The Google Calendar Integration section of the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is read, what is stored, and how to revoke access.

Decide who books

By default, booking requests come to you. You approve the ones that work and decline the ones that do not, and your address stays private until you accept.

If vetting every request is not worth your time, you can switch a room to instant booking and let it fill on its own. That is a per-room setting, so a room you are protective of and a room you just want busy do not have to run the same way.

Get paid after the session

The guest pays at checkout, so you are not chasing anyone for money on the day. Soundbooked holds the payment and pays you out after the session has happened.
