How payouts work
Guests pay Soundbooked at checkout and you are paid after the session. What you receive, when it arrives, what has to be connected first, and what can hold a payout.

Guests pay Soundbooked at checkout. You are paid after the session, into a bank account you connect once. Here is what that looks like from your side.
Connect your payout account first
Payouts run through Stripe, the same processor behind most online checkouts. From Studio, then Payments, you set up a Stripe account in a few minutes: your identity, and the bank account the money should go to. One connection covers every listing you own.
A room cannot take bookings until Stripe confirms the account can receive transfers, so do this as soon as you list. Until then the listing stays out of search. If Stripe asks for another document, that is Stripe's identity check, not ours, and finishing it is what unlocks bookings.
What you receive
Your payout is the studio rate for the hours booked, plus any house engineer fee you charged, minus the Soundbooked host service fee. The host fee is fifteen percent for professional studios and twenty percent for home and private studios. The three percent the guest pays is separate and never comes out of your share.
An example: a home studio at 140 dollars an hour, booked for three hours, is 420 dollars of studio rate. Your payout is 336 dollars. The figure you will receive is shown on every booking before you approve it, so there is nothing to work out.
When it arrives
A booking completes when the session ends. The payout is released once you have left your review of the guest, or automatically fourteen days after the session if you have not. Soundbooked checks for releasable payouts every half hour, so a review you write the evening after a session releases the money that night.
From there Stripe moves it to your bank on the payout schedule shown in your Stripe dashboard, usually within a couple of business days. Your full payout history, balance and the bank on file all live in that dashboard. The Payments page has a link straight into it.
Cancellations
When a guest cancels, your cancellation policy decides how much of the studio rate you keep. Whatever you keep is paid out without waiting for a review, since there is no session to review.
What can hold a payout
- Stripe has not finished verifying your account or your bank. Bookings are not possible until it has, so this only bites if verification lapses later.
- A dispute. If a guest raises a problem with the session or their card issuer, the booking shows Payout on hold while it is looked into. Money already sent to your bank is not pulled back while that happens.
- A chargeback that goes against you, which is rare and comes with the evidence you gave us.
Everything else is automatic. There is no invoice to send and nothing to request. Pricing the room is the part that takes thought, and How to price your room by the hour covers it.

How to price your room by the hour
Pricing from your costs gets a number nobody pays. Copying the room down the road gets one that does not cover yours. The useful method starts with what you actually keep.

When to offer a day rate, and when it costs you
A day rate does not sell a long session. It sells the whole day, and it is the only way a guest can book you across several.
